MSF OCA Research Committee is committed to bringing quality research work to the movement and beyond. On this page, you will find templates and tools prepared to facilitate research work processed through MSF OCA.

  1. A Protocol and Concept Note file are uploaded on the MSF Remit system. As a result a record is created on the Nexo platform.

 Implemented 

 The study was implemented and data collection was completed 

  1. Please upload the raw data file and raw data dictionary. When you have done so, you have completed this step.

 Analysed 

 Study documentation is analyzed and completed 

  1. Please upload the cleaned data file and clean data dictionary.

  1. The complete risk assessment is completed.

 Published 

 The study is published on the MSF Data Sharing Platform 

  1. The Risk level field is set by PI/SC(MSF Admin)/ SysAdmin 

 Disseminated 

 Study articles, presentations, and abstracts are disseminated and data sharing is possible  

  1. The DOI is minted 

 Impact 

 Study Policy changes and new guidance are completed 

  1. The impact field is filled by PI/SC 

 

Documents for Platform User: data requests

These documents are required for a study to be processed in MSF OCA research system:

  • Data Request Template: This document needs to be completed by all users requesting data set they have no access to.
  • Data Sharing Agreement : This document requires for further specifications on your methodology and data-sharing strategy.

 

Documents for Study Coordinators and Primary Investigators

These documents strive to make the research objective and subsequent rights transparent for data sources:

  • Consent Request template : This document is the starting point to all research activities. The details of your research such as location, methodology, topic, and duration will be required.
  • Concept Paper : This document is the starting point to all research activities. The details of your research such as location, methodology, topic, and duration will be required.
  • Microsoft OneDrive Know-How : This document provides a summary explanation on the use of Microsoft OneDrive
  • Good Practices in R-Project : This document provides an overview of good practices in using the R statistical programme and dataset administration.
  • Nexo platform data administration : This document outlines guidance and tips on data collection, administration and publication process on the Nexo platform.
  • Bandwidth management: This document provides tips on managing synchronization in low bandwidth contexts.
